Who carried out the research?

Tip: If you are not sure about an answer pick the one you think is closest. If you decide later that you want to change it you can always go back.

Knowing who carried out research can help you to identify whether the researchers have any conflicts of interest that might have affected the quality of the research. It can be useful to think who might benefit from the research findings, and to what extent they were involved in the research.

To find out who carried out the research, look at the list of authors and their affiliations, usually found underneath the title. The authors' affiliations will help you to decide what type of organisation they are from. Select the option below which most closely matches the organisation or organisations listed in the paper.
